In Memoriam

Keith R. Hunt, 1962-2001

Pray for the dead and fight like hell for the living. -- Mother Jones

TUGSA mourns the loss of a dear brother. Keith Hunt, TUGSA Staff Organizer, died of a heart attack on September 20, 2001.

All those of us who knew Keith remember him as a skilled organizer, a wise counselor, a passionate activist, a tireless worker, a beloved friend. As our union struggles to come to terms with his absence, we will sorely miss his humor, his kindness, his commitment, and the care he showed to each individual with whom he came into contact. We will remember, too, the tremendous debt we owe him, and the central role he has played in our victories. We will cherish and honor his memory as we carry on his work.

The Keith Hunt Memorial Fund has been established to benefit Keith's fiancée, Lynette Brown, and two children, Maya and Tyrese. Those who wish to contribute should call the TUGSA office at 215-235-0512.
